Arlington, Va. – Dominion National Dental Director Dr. Wayne Silverman and fellow employees volunteered to support “Piedmont Smiles” – a free community dental day event at Fauquier High School on October 15. The event provided free dental care to adult residents in the region, including Fauquier, Rappahannock, Culpeper, Madison and Orange counties.

Eligible adult patients received same-day dental services, including cleanings, fillings, extractions and health screenings. Silverman, who has more than 30 years of dentistry experience, provided treatment at the event along with other Dominion employees who worked to help triage patients.

"We were pleased to join this great event to support oral health needs for the underserved and uninsured in our community," said Dominion Vice President of Marketing Jeff Schwab, who also chairs Dominion's corporate giving program. "These supporting organizations provide free dental care to thousands of Virginians each year and we were excited to contribute to the patient treatment and coordination to support the overwhelming need for access to free oral health care."

Additional support was provided by the Virginia Dental Association Foundation, Missions of Mercy and community stakeholders including the PATH Foundation, the Virginia Health Care Foundation and the Culpeper Wellness Foundation.
