Dominion National, a leading provider of dental and vision benefits in the Mid-Atlantic area, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Account Analyst.


The Accounts Analyst is responsible for the success of our large, strategic and overall individual account eligibility and financial reconciliation process. He/She should be able to work independently with minimal oversight and manage their time effectively.  This individual will work closely with our Eligibility team to assist in identifying errors and providing feedback to clients and Group Services Center reps as it relates to our financial status based on eligibility.  

Essential Job Functions (include but are not limited to):

  • Completes the billing process for Strategic and Individual Accounts.
  • Reconciles eligibility, premium and billing files monthly to resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate and complete reconciliations
  • Works with external partners and clients regarding discrepancies 
  • Research payment allocation issues in which the billing table does not match the allocation.
  • Serves as support for the Financial Services Department including Cash Posting Specialists and other Analysts. 
  • Reviews and reports monthly aging balances on accounts as it relates to our dental and vision business.
  • Provide status of each assigned account and collectability of unpaid premiums.
  • Completes Schedule A Form 5500 as requested by groups.
  • Provide quality, professional customer service to all internal and external clients.
  • Suggests opportunities for enhancements.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Associates degree in related field and 3-5 years banking/accounting experience.
  • Healthcare insurance background is a plus.
  • Knowledge of payment application and reconciliation towards invoices.
  • 2+ years data analysis.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective customer service, organizational, written and oral communication skills. 
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
